Kate's love for singing started at an early age. She would drive her father crazy singing in the back of his Scimitar on long journeys.
This grew into a love of singing in choirs at school and training classically in voice and flute.
She eventually led her school choir to the Albert Hall, London and on tour to Bavaria, Germany.
She studied music/art at Nottingham Trent University and obtained a B.A. as a creative artist.
During this time she developed an interest for West African music and a cappella singing and pretty soon after leaving Nottingham she traveled with friend and singer Sarah Winton to explore the music of West Africa.
Soon after this she started songwriting and formed a cappella group 'Fusebox' based at the Birmingham Conservatoire where she was researching voice.
It was at this time that she formed her own band and began performing on the acoustic scene in Birmingham.
The band grew over the years, performing to full houses at respected venues such as London's 12 Bar Club and the London songwriters Kashmir Klub to name a few.
In 2003 Kate released her debut album 'Renewal' on her own label Copper Records to critical acclaim and followed this with a national UK tour.
Since then she has picked up an ever growing word of mouth following performing at festivals and gardens around the UK and supported artists such as Kirsty Mcgee and Black Umfolosi.
Her interest as a gardener and environmentalist has developed to include a firm following on the green acoustic music scene.
